January is Glaucoma Awareness MonthJanuary 14, 2019
We are supporting 2019 Glaucoma Awareness Month with an emphasis on patient education. It has been said that the vast majority of today’s technological advancements in ophthalmology are taking place in glaucoma. This is evident when you review the array of new procedures and devices, especially in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
Certainly, the most meaningful patient education on glaucoma (or any procedure for that matter) takes place between the patient and his or her ophthalmologist. Perhaps this is most true when it comes to the growing options in treating glaucoma. Our goal is to provide patients with a pathway to understand and appreciate the number of treatment options to discuss with their ophthalmologist.
